Tato zm\u011bna v\u0161ak p\u0159inesla vlastn\u00edk\u016fm ur\u010dit\u00e9 nev\u00fdhody, jako je zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00e1 spot\u0159eba paliva a slab\u0161\u00ed dynamika vozidla, zvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b v reakci na akceleraci. Byly upraveny i algoritmy pro regeneraci filtr\u016f pevn\u00fdch \u010d\u00e1stic, a\u010dkoli hlavn\u00ed zam\u011b\u0159en\u00ed z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 na sn\u00ed\u017een\u00ed emis\u00ed. Pokud jde o filtr pevn\u00fdch \u010d\u00e1stic, Volkswagen obvykle nezaznamen\u00e1v\u00e1 v\u00fdznamn\u00e9 probl\u00e9my, pokud motor a syst\u00e9m DPF funguj\u00ed spr\u00e1vn\u011b. Jedn\u00edm z hlavn\u00edch probl\u00e9m\u016f je zji\u0161t\u011bn\u00ed skute\u010dn\u00e9ho stavu vozu, zvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b pokud do\u0161lo k manipulaci s po\u010d\u00edtadlem kilometr\u016f.
